An application for at-home physical therapy specifically designed for individuals with muscular distrophy. The key features would be; daily customizable reminders, a visual representation of the stretch with a timer for how long to hold the stretch, and a system for users to rate how difficult it was for them. The next session would adjust accordingly to ensure improvement without hurting the user.
Muscular distrophy research informed the beginning of the process. I explored how different audiences would use this app by conceptualizing three user profiles for people with different forms of muscular distrophy. The Figma prototype features were selected based on the user needs. Initially, the app was yellow and red, but I added blue and orange accent colors to make it more welcoming. I drew the different stretch poses and animated a countdown timer that had the illustrated stretch inside of it.
