Concept
The term “Internet of Things” describes how physical items can connect and send and receive data with devices and systems over the Internet. This physical item would be a terrarium monitor/control center that would be managed via a phone app. The audience is pet owners who are passionate about ensuring their animals are getting the best care. One intended demographic is first-time owners who feel daunted by the factors of care for a reptile or amphibian. This app would provide a sense of control and ease for them.

Process
The first step was a pitch presentation for the concept and audience of the app. From there different user profiles which informed the features of the app. From there I created a wireframe and prototype. The look is simple and colorful to appeal to the demographic who may be intimidated by highly technical and complex aspects of caring for a reptile or amphibian.
